About Us
Toolander Engineering is a family owned and run business spanning 3 generations of Tool and Die makers. Toolander opened its doors in 1975 by Harri Kutzmarski an immigrant from Germany who served his apprenticeship as a Machine Builder in his native country. Harri moved to the states in 1960 and ended up in Rochester New York where he got a job at a Tool and Die shop and became fascinated with the progressive dies. A few years later Harri went searching for warmer climates and found Southern California. After working ten years as a Tool and Die Maker at various companies he decided to open his own shop. In 2000 Harri decided to retire and pass the torch on to his two sons Fred and Steve who are certified Tool and Die Makers, as is Fred’s son Chris the third generation. Steven, Trevor and Erin are also third generation Kutzmarski’s who are part of the team at Toolander. Toolander Engineering has specialized in designing, building and running precision stamping dies since the inception of the company and we are still continuing that model to this day. We stamp quality precision parts in high and medium volumes. We have served many different industries such as, electronics, medical, military, automotive, telecommunications and lighting to name a few. We own and operate out of our 10,000 square foot building in Beautiful San Clemente California.
